Get started on Front

We’re in the very early stages of moving from Zendesk (where we’ve been for 15 years) to Front. It seems like there are a lot of things that will be eaiser to manage (rules, schedules, reports), but what’s one thing you miss, or that surprised you when you moved?

Our company is onboarding with Front, how do you accurately report on cross-team ticket resolution when conversations move across multiple inboxes before closure?

What are your strategies for prioritizing chat over email in load balancing while respecting teammate assignment limits?

As a new Front user, I have just recently begun to experiment with the "Invite guests to conversations or internal discussions" feature. This feature allows you to bring external collaborators—such as clients, vendors, or contractors—into specific email threads or internal discussions without granting them full access to your inbox or workspace.Benefits I’ve noticed: Improved collaboration: Instead of forwarding long email chains or creating new threads, you can bring a guest directly into an existing conversation. Anyone know where I can find a Front Consultant?  Front was already in place when I started here about two years ago and has been problematic since day one.  Our Front setup is a hot mess and generates way too many helpdesk tickets for all kinds of different reasons.  I really need someone that can look at our setup, analyze it, suggest and make changes.  I’m an IT Manager but I don’t have the bandwidth to revamp our whole Front setup.  A Google search turned up nothing and Front doesn’t seem to offer such a service that I can tell.  Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

New to Front and wondering if anyone has SLA tips and tricks for a team that covers all time zones in the US?

I often review multiple schedules, identify shared openings, and provide clients with options.Is there a scheduling assistant or AI integration that can automate this? Ideally, I’d love to select team members and get a summarized availability report to copy/paste into emails—or even have AI pull this from Front calendars.Any suggestions?

We are implementing Front and all very new to the system. Does anyone have additional information on the Salesforce integration? We currently use the Salesforce plugin as well as Calendly for meetings and want to ensure events and emails flow through correctly to Salesforce. Thanks! 

How do you typically use custom fields, and what use cases have been most valuable?

We need assistance on how to  send "opt-in" messages to be able to message our customers either outside the 24-hr window or to initiate a message with a new contact/customer. Pls. advise. 

New user to Front and was wondering if anyone felt it more beneficial to archive in Microsoft Outlook before migrating over to Front?  Or doing it inside Front once setup?  Appreciate any suggestions!

I have a team workspace set up. One of the team members has all team emails set up to be forwarded to her personal inbox. She also has her settings set up to send& archive. After she responds to the email, it archives in the team’s inbox automatically, but not her inbox. Is there a way to get the email to automatically archive in both inboxes?

Curious to hear from any previous Front implementors to see when they realized full value of all that Front has to offer.  In my early workings in Front, seems like there are some immediate wins that help streamline and create efficiencies within a company which is amazing!  Did you find to be shortly after adoption period? Three months in?  Six months in?  Would love to hear some of your experiences.

Hello everyone, I'm new to using Front. For many years I had to use other platforms, and when I discovered Front, it opened my mind to a lot of possibilities. What's your favorite feature? Mine is tags based on keywords, although simple, very effective Is there a feature you've found especially helpful so far?

We’re currently in our implementation with Front and custom fields across inboxes, contacts, accounts, conversations, etc. are bit intimidating for our team. Does anyone have any advice on how to think through the different custom fields and/or examples of how this has helped automation?

Hi Fronteers!I just saw the different AI features that Front has, AI compose for email, AI compose for knowledge base, AI Summarize.Is there a way to adjust the language and tone that the AI uses so that it resembles my way of communicating, and thus give a more personal touch to the text?Thank you!

One of the functions that I found very interesting is the SLC (Service Level Agreement). I think it is important to maintain a good response time with clients to continue having a good relationship with them.I found very useful the tool to add {{survey}} at the end of an email tread, should be great to measure customer satisfaction.Also great tool I will start using is the ''Compose with IA'', I think it is a great way to improve the tone of the email.

Hello this is probably very simple but just not seeing it as a option.  I can sort the inbox so that the newest email is on top.   But what I am looking for is a way to sort the conversations/replies from the customer or the team, once I open a email thread.  Currently if the team adds a internal message.  I need to scroll through the entire thread to the bottom in order to see it the most current reply. 

Hi Front Community! Me and a couple of my coworkers have run into a little bit of problem through the inboxes that we are managing using Front. As it stands, I am the primary person that is responsible for managing two inboxes that we have synced to Front. However, two other people in my department (that also have access to the inbox) are having emails auto-assigned to them. We haven’t created any rules or made any changes to auto assign emails to specific people. For context, I’m an intern and my two coworkers have requested that I only manually assign emails to them either when something is out of my reach or if I need help with something. Unfortunately, the auto assignment problem that we are having has resulted in longer response times. Because it is a new year, we are trying to fix this issue before everything starts to pick up again. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi team,  I’m trying to understand, why if I restricted access to a workspace and its inboxes, a Front user can still see and assign conversations to an inbox they dont have access to? Is there any work around to prevent this from happening?I dont want every front user to be able ALL the available inboxes in front in the different workspaces.Any good best practices here?

What are some of the best tips’ and tricks for users moving from traditional outlook?

Hi there,  so I have enabled the Intercom channel to manage Intercom chats on Front.Independently, we have an API from our data source to Front and have created all of our contacts and accounts, however, when a chat is created, the contact is not linked to the existing contacts.  Do I need to set up some kind of rule?I would have expected Front to authenticate the contact with what is already existing… Can I get some guidance on how to make it happen?Thank you
