Hi!
Our team is thinking about using Front more intentionally for onboarding new hires.
Has anyone set up Front-based workflows or resources (rules, tags, knowledge base, etc.) to help with onboarding or training? What worked well?

For introducing new teammates to Front, I would not necessarily recommend setting up any specific workflows for them in Front, but I would recommend that they take a whizz through the following Learning Path in our Front Academy: Front for my daily work. This path will give them a great introduction into the basic functionality of Front.

For introducing your new teammates to your unique workflows is a bit trickier and will likely depend on what your teams do day-to-day. However, some options to consider are:

  • Creating a Custom role for teammates who are onboarding: Custom roles and permissions
    • This can be useful if teammates need to have drafts reviewed before being sent
  • Creating rules that notify another teammate if your new colleague has been assigned a conversation
    • Could be useful if your new colleague needs to be guided through an investigation
  • Ensuring that your new teammate has your KB pinned to their app switcher on the right hand side
