How do we setup a custom SMS connection channel to connect to AWS End User SMS or AWS SNS (instead of ex: twilio)

The only guide is confusing and doesnt really help - also asked AWS side but they referred back to frontapp.

Hello! We do not currently have a native connector with this provider. However, you can likely still connect this source to Front via an Application Channel. Application channels are useful for establishing a communication channel in Front with a variety of third party data sources, from SMS to phone call logs to live chat.
