Hello,

We are in the process of setting up Front for our company. From one of the trainings, I understand that we can easily export our Contacts (e.g., name, surname, email) from Salesforce as a .csv file and import them into Front, allowing us to use them for sending emails starting on Day 1. Is that correct?

Would you recommend this approach, or is it better (and possible) to connect Front directly with Salesforce so that contacts are synced automatically in real time? I want to ensure that any updates made in Salesforce—such as changes to a contact’s email address—are accurately reflected in Front.

Thanks!

Hello!

Annie from the Support Team checking in. This is a great question. Both options are available: you can definitely import contacts into Front’s Contact Manager via a CSV file (you can check out more information here) and you can also sync your contacts over from Salesforce (you can find more information on that here). Both are great options! Since you mentioned you’d like future updates to Salesforce contacts to be reflected within Front, I would recommend syncing your contacts over from Salesforce given this option allows a unidirectional consistent sync - any changes made in Salesforce will be synced over daily into Front. This allows you to have your contacts’ information always up to date.

I hope this is helpful!

Hi Annie, thanks for your response.

A quick follow-up question regarding the integration between Front and Salesforce:
What is the sync delay between the two systems? For example, if someone adds a new broker (Contact) in Salesforce or updates an existing broker's email address, how long does it take for Front to reflect the change?

Thanks!

Hey Patel,

Phoebe from the Front team, stepping in for Annie.

We re-sync between Salesforce < > Front automatically every 24 hours, but you can manually trigger a re-sync at any time by opening the Salesforce sync page in Front.

More on that here. :-)
