For the people who set up Front and keep it running for the team

I am brand new to my organization (and to Front), and am really looking forward to using the platform. Being new, I don’t really know where to start. Setting up tags and rules seems super helpful, but I am not familiar enough with my company’s process to know what to expect. Does anyone have any advice for brand new team members? Thanks all!
For anyone that has transitioned from Intercom to Front Chat, do you have any workflow or implementation lessons learned?
I have a couple of team members that when I look at their assigned conversations - one of them has 53 and the other has 12. However, from their view they only have 2 or 3. These old conversations show to not be archived from my view but if you are logged in to their account they are not there. Has anyone experienced this? I don’t know how to correct it.
Hello everybody,I have a problem with adding a member to my team.I receive this message when I want to invite him: "an error occurred while sending the teammate invite"I didn't find a solution...Can you help me ? Thanks ! 😃
Historical Conversations Best Practices Views and Tags Is it best to audit and apply tags prior to or after migration? If keywords can be used to create a search and then apply tags for past conversations, then after the tags are applied, conversations with those tags will be visible in the Tags Report, correct? Is it best practice to create a View for Historical Conversations? If Nested Tags do not display in the analytics dashboard itself, should they be be used at all, or are their specific use cases for a Nested tag, if they are not displayed in the analytics dashboard?Nested tags in AnalyticsThe tag path will be displayed in any tag dropdown menu, however, the tag path will not display in the analytics dashboard itself.
Hey, the AWS Route 53 interface has changed and no longer has a Create Record Set button for creating a record, and instead only has a Create Record button. This can cause confusion to new users setting this up since help article in Front (https://help.front.com/en/articles/2292) shows a screenshot containing the “Create Record Set” button. I was following the help guide so it took me some time to figure out that the AWS interface has changed
I have found that using tags and rules together has been my favorite tool. This approach has saved my team a lot of valuable time!
We are hosting a Front Lunch and Learn and a Front-hosted training but I am already hearing some pushback from users that like their set up and flow in gmail. Any tips on encouraging and setting expectations would be great! Also- any specific pushbacks you’ve heard and how you handled that I can prepare for! Thank you!
New to Front, but so far very useful they really thought of everything! Combining all my favorite features from other platforms in one domain, game changer. Can’t wait to keep exploring!
For an operations and logistics based company - which analytical feature do you think best suit the needs to meet expectations of customers.
Hello, everyone. Another email post from me. We are starting to introduce Front to our company. We have a wide variety of users. Some have preferred Outlook, while others have preferred Gmail. Any tips on how to convert them into Front when it’s this diverse? As usual most people don’t like change, but I know Front could be more beneficial for them to use, but just curious to see what has worked, or challenges others have faced when releasing Front within a company.
Hello, I am still pretty fresh to Front, and have reviewed some conversations on shortcuts, plus the training. Something that would be nice (unless I completely missed it), would be custom tag shortcuts (similar to Outlook). Our users are used to Outlook and most of them have shortcuts to send emails to specific folders. It would be nice if we could customize shortcuts for that. When on an email instead of using Ctrl + E to archive if I could customize a shortcut “Ctrl + 1” to tag and archive an email.
Hello, is there any way to create a new view, which i can use for watching issues that are both of assigned and archived? Thank you in advance.
Hello, i would like to ask if it’s possible to import the users’ emails to Front. Thank you in advance.
Once reply is sent is there anyway to remove? or edit?
When you add an item to your email calendar will it automatically be added to your teams’ calendar and be able to be viewed just like in your email?
Hi everyone!I’m just playing around with Front, as it has most of the features I am looking for. However, I am quite puzzled about why there is no way to import history from custom SMTP -adresses.I understand that it might be difficult to support this against all the different service providers out there. But shouldn’t it at least be possible to import a PST -file from Outlook?Does anyone know if they plan to add it? Or any other smart way of importing a file like this? Thanks in advance!
Finding Front VersionMany of us, who are long-time Microsoft users, are used to using the:Help > About’ or‘File > Account > About _____’option to find the Version number of the Microsoft product they are using. How does a user accomplish this in Front? What’s NewAnother common convention used by other software is when an updated version is installed, upon relaunch, a ‘What’s New’ summary or link to same is provided. Am I missing something?
I've received a lot of marketing emails that appear in my inbox as being from a specific person, but come from a general email address (e.g. hello@). I wonder if this can be replicated on Front - e.g. the sender will appear in recipients inboxes as a ‘Joe Bloggs’ but the email itself will be sent directly from a general email address.
We’re looking to use signature templates with custom variables, but can’t find a syntax to add a constant string only when a variable is populated. Front’s variable syntax resembles Twig, but it doesn’t seem to be compatible. If a title exists, we want:{{user.name}}, {{user.custom.title}}If no title exists, we want:{{user.name}}Not:{{user.name}}, Same thing for phone numbers. Bonus points if you can tell me syntax to conditionally include a carriage return. This sample {{recipient.first_name | 'there'}} from the article gives me hope that it’s possible, but we need the opposite (text if exists) or to be able to inject a variable between strings. This is what I really want to do:{{user.custom.direct} ? ‘Direct ’ + {user.custom.direct} : ‘ | ’}Main 555-555-5555
It’s come up a several times that delegated inboxes for former employees (inactive accounts) still show as delegated for their teammates. Aside from removing them from view in sidebar, is there a way to access and un-delegate as an admin?
We have found in the past that the PC App can be a bit buggy or have issues with updating in our highly restrictve enviroment due to lack of user permissions. Can someone clafify the use case for PC app over the WebApp as the WebApp does everythign I can see.Cheers,
Hi all,I’d like to upload a list of contacts into Front — am wondering if a new Account will be created if the CSV file has a column for account? Thanks so much,Cathryn
I’m new to Front and have a bunch of contacts. How do I get them into Front?
We are using hubspot for most of our current automation and processes. Can I use a automation rule to generate a task in Hubspot when XYZ conditions or do I need to create an API for that?
