Enabling customers to raise and track tickets via our customer portal

Hey all,

Glad to be part of the logistics group. I run a logistics company, and we have our own customer portal. I would love to explore how I can implement a feature on our portal that allows our customers to raise and monitor tickets without needing to use other channels like email, Slack, and Whatsapp, so it can be all-inclusive inside one system.

Does anyone have any experience doing so at the moment? What I envision is them selecting the issue, which would automatically tag it when it reaches our front inbox, and we can automatically route them. Depending on who raises a ticket, we will also allocate it to the best account manager for that task. We will then have a separate feature where they can track all open tickets, tickets in progress, and resolved tickets.

Thanks!

Hey Marcus,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out.

Yes, this is possible with Front. Your portal can act as the customer-facing place to submit and track tickets, while Front handles the backend workflow for your team.

Typically, your portal would create conversations in Front, passing details like issue type, customer, priority, and description. Those details can then be used to apply tags, route the conversation to the right inbox, and assign it to the appropriate account manager using Front rules.
