Hello, I’d like to raise another problem I encounter regularly after the new interface and see if other users also struggle with this. I have several teams using Front and swap between them in the Settings pane. I am used to design where the selection pane/sidebar on the left in off-white shows my selections.How come the workspace is only a small letter “I” icon? Then I have to look over into the white configuration pane to confirm I am looking at the “IT Ops” workspace which takes me away from locating my setting, next my eyes go back to the left selection pane to click on Rules (which are also too far down for a commonly-edited settings page).When I swap over to the next workspace, it shows a green letter “I”. Why are they just “I”s and can’t be the full workspace name in the off-white sidebar? It’s unnecessary that I cannot see the workspace selection on the left and am given only different colors of “I”. Green I for IRPurple I for IT 

I have customers who are filing tickets through our portal, and when they file via our help center, they are being prompted to verify their email address. They will confirm their email by clicking the button below, but will be prompted again when they submit another ticket. The customer will verify their email above, directing them to their requests.Need guidance on why this is happening and any solutions to allow customers to only verify their email once. Thank you.

I have been using front for about a week, and initially had no topics. Then on Sept 30th, four topics were created. No new topics were created since then.My questions on topics are:Will they automatically appear or does it take 30 days (as per your docs) for Front to evaluate new topics? If it does take 30 days since the last discovery, is there a way to “trigger” new topic discovery? If a flood of new emails come in about a new topic, such as a live site issue, will Front be able to create a new topic on the fly as needed without having to wait 30 days?Thanks in advance for your clarifications!

Hello, We are a mortgage company using Front for our funding teams communication with loan officers, warehouse banks, title companies etc. Our primary tools we use are Airtable and make.com. My end goal is:When the initial contact point occurs, associate the conversation and the airtable record together by housing the convID in Airtable and the Airtable recordID as a custom object I assume?Have a sidebar plugin that users can open up and it show information about the Airtable record associated with the current conversation, Be able to make small updates to statuses etc in Airtable from inside the plugin. Is there any recommended ways to go about this? Whether it be instructions or just links to highly rated partners?Thank you! 

I love the new knowledge base integration with AI, but I’d like to add additional context to the AI based on the user submitted message the AI is looking at.Having the AI have access to our MCP server means it can look up specific information about the user requesting help as well as access documentation.Is that a possibility?  I couldn’t find a good approach using Connectors.

How can I sync my Front calendar to my iphone calendar? I can syn my outlook calendar with my iphone, but any events/meetings, etc. created on the Front calendar, doesn’t show up on my iphone calendar. 

Hi Front Team,I am attempting to use the /events endpoint for incremental syncs, and I realized that it does not capture updates to the name or status of existing tickets. Similarly, these updates do not update the last activity timestamps used to order the response to /conversations/search.At the moment, the workaround is to re-pull all tickets in bulk, which is inefficient and can quickly run into rate limits.Are there other workarounds? If not, is there a plan to support these updates, either as new event types or as filters? Thank you!

When I add a comment myself I can mention a conversation (cnv_*) and it will get turned into a link and a little preview added below. When I do that via the API that doesnt happen. I can do the linkify myself as a markdown link but I’d love to be able to get the previews to show as well. Any way to do that?

Hi,I’m creating an integration with Front which will sync conversation and inbox data. API tokens will not work for my use case, so I need to use OAuth.Can I add Workspace scopes to an OAuth app? Workspace scopes are visible when creating API tokens but not OAuth.I am also trying to use OAuth with non-admin users. Is there any way to authenticate non-admin users with workspace member users using OAuth? Specifically, I need to use the Shared resources scope so that the integration can pull conversation, inboxes, etc. for a user.Thanks!

I’m trying to create a webhook within my internal app. Whenever I click the “Create” button on the “Create Webhook” page a toast pops up saying “Webhook veritification failed”. I have verified from the logs (and from trying it in curl myself) that the URL is responding with a 200 status, application/json type and “{ "type": "success" }” as the content. What else do I need to do to get Front to accept my webhook url?  

What setting can we use to stop this from happening?  What is the use case for which it is _useful_ to unassigned a conversation just because of a change in inbox?

At my company we have a group of several people working in different time zones. I would like to know how I can automate a response timer that would work for everyone individually without having to automate a separate rules for each member?

Is it possible to view and download Front email attachments when viewing the message directly in Slack?

I’m currently trying to understand whether there’s a way to determine which user granted the OAuth token I’m using in the request?I’ve found the `API Token Details`, but that appears to only expose company-level information.Could I achieve this by introspecting the JWT claims? (e.g. `sub`?) 

Hello Front Community,Today I noticed the URL link icon is gone when creating a message. It used to be at the bottom a few icons to the right of the attachment one. Does anyone know how to get it back? I used it extensively. Thanks in advance!Amy

HiI have been a customer of Front for 1.5 years, and during this time, I’ve seen so many integrations added, but not GitLab yet. This is a thread to discuss why we have not seen this yet implemented.I tried to create an idea months ago, but it got merged into an invisible idea, so sadly the community can’t see it and maybe upvote it!Merged idea for Gitlab integration to an invisible idea I wonder if this because Front is already working on it or if they don’t care about integrating with Gitlab?I wonder if I’m the only member of the community waiting for a Gitlab integration? Raise your hand if you are looking for a Gitlab integration too!I’m not asking much, just same capabilities as the Github integration would be nice.Hopefully Front and the communty sees this post

Hello, I’m looking for advice on how to make the new UI more readable, whether there will be accessibility options like high-contrast (or color-blindness) themes in the near future, or if it is necessary to raise this as a feature request.In both the light and dark themes, I can no longer distinguish the sidebar or see separation between conversations and messages. Subject lines blur into senders and previews, making it hard to read. I'm not color blind but I can't perceive the subtle shade differences with the new UI that others seem to. I typically leverage high-contrast themes in Windows and increased monitor brightness/contrast to reduce eye strain and increase clarity, but even with adjustments the light theme remains hard to use. The dark theme offers better contrast but still lacks boundaries between text.Like many other posters I will use the old inbox experience for as long as possible because it was better. But I see that the Front team is responsive and I hope you will offer

I’ve noticed a couple of limitations in Front Calendar and was curious if others have found effective workarounds while these features are still in development: Cancellation Notes: Currently, when deleting a meeting, there’s no built-in option to send a cancellation message. I’ve been manually notifying attendees via email before removing the event, simple enough, but not ideal. Co-Organizer Functionality: Since Front doesn’t support assigning co-organizers, I’ve been using Teams or Outlook to set that up, which then requires managing changes through those platforms. It works, but adds a layer of complexity. If anyone has discovered a more streamlined approach or temporary solution, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Always open to learning from how others are navigating this.

I am using the POST `/conversations/cnv_123/messages` endpoint to add a reply message to a conversation that already exists. When I fetch the messages, I see that they contain a `metadata` field that is just {}.  Is there a way to set custom metadata fields for later use in the endpoint? When I try just adding a `metadata` field to my payload, the operation passes but the metadata does not persist when re-fetched.

Hi everyone,I’m exploring ways to make message templates accessible across the entire organization, spanning all workspaces. Currently, Front’s “Company” workspace settings support rules, but not message templates, which limits centralized management.The two workarounds I’ve come across are:Creating a shared workspace that everyone can access, solely to house the template. Keeping the template in its original workspace and granting template-level access to all users.Both approaches work, but they’re not ideal—especially when it comes to maintaining consistency and avoiding duplication across multiple workspaces.Curious to hear how others are handling this. Have you found a more scalable or elegant solution for distributing templates organization-wide?

Curious if anyone else is experiencing this - we did contact support with no response yet.We added a new user to Front and they don’t have access to Contacts. It’s not in their app switcher menu at all. I can’t find a setting for this or anything…. anyone else have this problem?  

Hello - at the moment when attempting to use an inbuilt copy paste button in my sidebar plugin i get the following error.Unhandled Runtime ErrorNotAllowedError: Failed to execute 'writeText' on 'Clipboard': The Clipboard API has been blocked because of a permissions policy applied to the current document. See https://goo.gl/EuHzyv for more details.After investigating the front sidebar plugin iFrame it looks as if clipboard-write is not allowed. Are there either, plans to change this or a suggested workaround? If no plans to change at the moment i can submit as a suggestion. Thank you for your help. 

Hi! I am wanting to looking into notification settings within different inboxes for workspace admins. I’m currently a main admin for our Front Instance and on the end-user side, I won’t be using some of the inboxes set up across the team. Is there a way I can customize my notification settings on the Mac Desktop app? Thanks!

I used the “time off” feature when I took 2 days off in order to enable the auto-responder. There were several conversations assigned to me in a shared channel for which we received an inbound message while I was out of office. When that happened, I was unassigned from the conversations. I would like the conversations to remain assigned to me, so that the inbound responses would be waiting in my inbox upon my return. As it was, I missed them at first. How can I avoid being unassigned on conversations like this? I can imagine two possibilities:A way to enable the auto-responder without marking myself “out of office” (maybe I can do this with a rule? seems like a hack) Changing some settings so that inbound messages do not auto-unassign me.
