Currently there is no way for you to filter a custom filed in Contacts or Accounts. Its already setup like a table, so a way to sort and filter would be a huge upgrade to a largely useless display. Is this in the works?

At the moment, it isn’t possible to filter in Contacts or Accounts by custom field, but it’s on our team’s radar.
You can vote for this feature here in our Ideas Portal. In the meantime, we’d recommend exporting the data and filtering in an external tool.
