New task improvements are now enabled (for select users!)

I’ve been so looking forward to this feature release. Thank you! Would love to see the addition of being able to pre-assign a tag to the task as well.

@connie The current task templates are a good start - but currently lacks task management features 

It would be great to explore adding:

• Company wide templates - this applies to tasks and messages 
• Sub-tasks
• Ability to assign sub-tasks / tasks to an inbox (since inboxes can be set up with subsequent round robin assignment)
• Ability to assign deadlines to sub-tasks / tasks

• To clarify, when you say sub-tasks, are you referring to tasks linked to other tasks?
  • You can do this today using linking, but let me know if you’re referring to something else
• For assignment, we do have the ability to add a shared inbox to the task, which puts it in that inbox. As long as the round robin assignment rule includes task creation as a trigger, it will also assign tasks
• Deadlines are coming, approximately in the next week

Hello! Thanks for trying out the new task features. If you’re having trouble finding them, take a look at the instructions below. Remember to leave your feedback in this thread. 

• From your inbox, open the + dropdown and create a task
  • You should see the ability to apply a message template with the / 

    

     

• Go into your workspace settings > Templates > Tasks and try creating a new task template, which can save fields like inbox, assignee, and tags. Due dates are coming, but not available quite yet!

  

   

• Go into your workspace settings > Rules and macros > Create rule
  • You should see a new action called "Create linked task"

    

Hello there, I don’t have access today, but am interested in testing out these new features for Tasks

Many tasks have several steps - so ideally the task capability will allow us to detail each of the sub-steps. 

This can technically be achieved via linking - however, if there are 10 sub-tasks / steps - creating 10 and linking 10 tasks is quite cumbersome
