New Feature: Task Templates in Asana Plugin 🚀

Hi Front Community,

 

Just a quick update for all Asana plugin users — we’ve added support for creating tasks using task templates 🎉

 

Task templates in Asana can be created by selecting “Convert to task template” from a task’s options (note: this feature is only available on paid plans).

 

 

Once your selected project includes templates, you’ll see a new field in the task creation flow. Choosing a template will automatically populate fields based on that template, helping you create tasks faster and keeping things consistent with your existing Asana workflows.

    Hello,

    I think this is a very handy feature for the Asana integration! I am curious to see how other users in the Front community are using the Asana integration to manage their workflows.

    I know Asana was only recently intro’ed to the Front application list, but I wonder if there could be any possibilities to implement rules and automations either from Front or Asana to create, move, and update task status across an Asana board based on queues in the shared inbox. I think having a way to bridge Front’s rule automation with the Asana integration or vice-versa could have great automation workflow benefits.

    Our standpoint with Asana integration relies heavily with ongoing workflow tasks such as handling client requests and moving them through a process. The main goal with this integration is to make the task assignment and flow processes as efficient/smooth for both client and employee handling. I wonder how this can be done in the best method?

    Lastly, could we implement a dark mode feature for the Asana integration panel?

    We are working on making this possible as we speak! Using the Connectors feature in Front, we added all available actions in Asana API, for them to be available in Rule/Macro workflows in Front 😃:

    This is a work in progress and will soon be available.

    Regarding the Dark mode feature, we will look into it 😊.
