I created 2 inboxes managed by 2 different teams. We are merging the teams, what is the best way to consolidate the inboxes moving forward while keeping the history separate?
Hey Kevin!
That’s a good question. By keeping the history separate, did you mean you want to keep the historical messages in their own original inboxes while merging the channels in one moving forward?
If so, you can simply remove the channel connected to any of those inboxes. Removing a channel simply means you are stopping all communications between your Front inbox and the channel connected to it while keeping all historical data. More information on how to do that here:
https://help.front.com/en/articles/2080#remove_a_channel
You may then connect that channel to the other inbox or create a third inbox where you can connect both channels so that the third will purely have all conversations in both channels after the team merger.
Hope that helps!
