Is there a way to "reply in a new conversation"?

I can forward or re-send a message as a new conversation. But I often want to reply in a new conversation - follow up on one element of a conversation with an external person, without keeping all my colleagues subscribed to it. Is there a way to do that?

Hey @katriel

Based on what you want to accomplish, it looks like the “Move to a new conversation” feature can help here: https://help.front.com/en/articles/2307#email_move_a_message_to_a_new_conversation

Let me know how it goes!

Hi @katriel, there is the ability to Link to a New Conversation https://help.front.com/en/articles/478144 if you need to create separate conversations that relate back to the original message. This is independent from the original conversation.

Thanks @jen_lai! Unfortunately that doesn’t work for my use case. I’d like to keep the “trail mail” as well as all the to: and cc: recipients of the previous message, while splitting it into a separate conversation.

I think I can achieve what I want by sending the message and then moving it to a new conversation, which is OK but not ideal (it doesn’t let me work on a private draft for a while).
