On Windows, when I print a PDF from Front using Microsoft Print as PDF, the resulting PDF has embedded images, not text. In other words, I can’t select or copy text in the PDF using Adobe Reader or any other PDF viewer. Is there a way to print a PDF that would enable me to copy text from the PDF?

This does seem to be a limitation of Microsoft Print to PDF and all other virtual printers I tried. The only solution I've found so far is using Front on web (or as a PWA) instead of the Windows app.

Hi there! Cat here from the Front support team 🌻

This might be related to limitations of the applications on your computer - I would recommend reaching out internally to your IT team for assistance as they probably have more details about these two applications.

If they are unable to find a cause for this, could you open a ticket with our team through Front Portal and we’ll continue investigating?

Cheers,
Cat

Thanks Cat!  They weren’t able to address it on our end. Our IT team will be reaching out to you at support@frontapp.com
