My team is mostly on Macs and the consensus is that this update is a step backward. No one likes change I get it but this is not the change we needed.
How do we go back until you guys sort out these issues?

If you click your account icon on the bottom left there is a toggle for “Enable new inbox experience.”

 

I believe they said this will only be available until early August. Hopefully they extend that or make some changes to the new experience before then.

Matt’s instructions should do the trick. At present, we plan to keep the old layout available until August 5. if you haven’t already, I highly recommend submitting any specific feedback on the new layout to our team here

We’re tracking all feedback and our Product team is reviewing these requests.  This isn’t the end of the redesign, it’s the beginning, and we’ll continue iterating based on what customers tell us they like/dislike! 


Yay thanks. Told my whole team - happy now! I’ll get in touch with the product team but I’m sure I’m not the only one asking “who moved my cheese?”


btw - please re-introduce pressing delete on an email on Mac. Super dooper annoying.
