After conversations had been merged together (on purpose or by mistake), situations change where we are needing conversations to be unmerged. This cannot be achieved due to the inablity to unmerge conversations. Many times, this has resulted in Employee confusion and conversations being 'lost' due to a merges being done within personal inboxes, shared inboxes and different workspaces. PLEASE give us the ability to Unmerge conversations.

Hi Lorin, thanks for sharing this feedback. Merging conversations often destroys data and eliminates attribution between the conversations. For example, if you receive a new message in the merged conversation, there is no clean way to attribute it to either of the original conversations if unmerged. The closest option we have instead is splitting a message in a new conversation.

One option I can submit a feature request for is something like “option to unmerge within a few seconds” as a backup for accidental merges, but we don’t plan to change the regular merge behavior.
