There are multiple uses cases in which content from a prior email needs to be attached to a message being composed.

  • request for documentation of prior communications (e.g.; incident response, follow up emails)
  • request for files attached to other emails

The composer seems to only have the ability to attach files from locally mapped directories. Other than drag and drop which is limited to certain environments (e.g.; mobile), is there a means to

  • attach an email or set of emails
  • attach an attachment from another email
  • attach content from a third party integration

via the composer?

This is not currently supported - there are a few ideas for possibly related features in our portal, but feel free to add one if there isn’t something that matches what you are looking for!

Is there a single place for users to provide input ? You’re making us jump through a lot of hoops and making us reenter information and search for information and reenter information and search for information (rinse , repeat).

Hey @McQ-tes, appreciate your questions and feedback! Apologies for the confusion in the feedback format. These discussion threads are meant to enable back-and-forth between users and our Front team (thank you @trevor_shibley for hopping in to confirm the product behavior), whereas the Ideas board’s purpose is to officially submit or vote on a feature request.

It sounds like this topic started as a product behavior question and has now evolved into a feature request based on the product limitation. I did go ahead and submit your request for you in our Ideas portal, though updates for the request won’t go directly to you since I submitted the request (which is also why we prefer for users to submit directly so you can follow the status of your idea!).
