Overview

Thank you for joining the Knowledge Sources for AI community! We're excited to have you here as we transform how Front AI learns from your company's knowledge.

Knowledge Sources power Front AI by connecting Copilot and Autopilot to your company's data—generating accurate, contextual responses that sound like your team. Add sources from Front Knowledge Base, public websites, or third-party tools like Notion, Google Drive to make your AI smarter.

What's available now

We recently launched three critical third party integrations that cover the most-requested knowledge systems:

  1. Notion - Connect your Notion workspace and select specific pages to sync. Perfect for teams that store knowledge bases, product guides, and help documentation in Notion.
  2. Google Drive - Sync Google Docs directly from your Drive. Ideal for teams with help articles, product documentation, and knowledge resources spread across shared drives and folders.
  3. SharePoint - Connect your SharePoint sites and documents. Built for enterprise teams managing knowledge repositories in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Each integration gives you complete control—you choose exactly which pages, documents, or sites to sync. Front ingests the content, transforms it into knowledge that AI can use, and makes it available to Copilot and Autopilot. Your team's private knowledge becomes your AI's competitive advantage.

What's coming next

We're not stopping here. On the roadmap for this quarter:

  • Confluence - For teams using Atlassian for technical documentation and wikis
  • Guru - For teams managing knowledge in Guru cards and collections
  • Automatic syncing - Keep knowledge fresh without manually triggering re-syncs
  • Quality insights - See which sources generate the most useful facts and offerings for AI
  • Enhanced error visibility - Clear notifications when syncs fail or credentials expire

Getting set up

Connecting a Third Party Source takes just a few minutes. Here's an example of doing it for Notion:

How to participate

  • Share your experience: Post about which sources you've connected, what you're syncing, and how it's impacting your AI quality
  • Ask for help: Stuck on authentication, page selection, or syncing? The community and our product team are here to troubleshoot with you
  • Give feedback: Tell us what's working, what's confusing, what features you need, or what integrations you want next
  • Help others: Jump into discussions, answer questions, and share what you've learned about optimizing knowledge sources
  • Join beta tests: Watch for posts inviting you to test new integrations and features before they launch

Our Integrations product team will be actively monitoring this group, answering questions, and using your feedback to shape the roadmap. This is your direct line to influence how Knowledge Sources evolve. The features that matter most to you will be the ones we prioritize.

List of topics

As discussions grow, we'll link focused threads here for easy navigation:

  • Best practices for selecting which content to sync
  • Measuring AI quality improvements from knowledge sources
  • Feature requests and integration suggestions

Looking forward to learning from all of you and building the smartest AI-powered support platform together!

Is there a place to up-vote the Confluence knowledge base?

Hey @bgraeff !

Great question — and good news! 🙌

We’re currently building the Confluence integration, and it’s on track to be up and ready by the end of April.

We’ll make sure to share updates here as we get closer to launch. Thanks for your interest!

Looking forward to checking out the Confluence option. Do you have any plans to add GitBook support?

@rmace Great! I’ll keep you looped through Community when its live.

GitBook is not on our books as of this moment. But I’m interesting on know the type of documents (Setup Guide, Pricing & Policy Info, Internal Specs, etc..) would you expect to be ingested for Front.

Thanks for the feedback!

Great updates so far — really like the direction things are heading.

One feature we'd love to see is the ability to upload custom skills to the Front. This would make it much easier to give the AI richer context for different use cases, and it would also simplify management on our end, since we already use skills on other AI platforms.

@stianolsens Thanks!

That makes sense.
Are you asking for a way to upload custom “skills” into Front so the AI can use richer, reusable context and you can manage those skills in one place. For example:

  • A support skill that pulls order/customer data + company guidelines and drafts reply suggestions.

  • A sales skill that uses a customer profile to generate tailored proposals or follow-ups.

  • A packaged SOP/knowledge skill that codifies a process (accept returns, escalate issues) so the AI behaves consistently.

Is that close to what you mean? It would be great also a common use case that this skills could be useful for.
