Meet the all-new Front: AI that keeps you in complete control and a reimagined inbox to boost productivity and focus

Today we’re announcing an all-new Front: with powerful new AI tools that keep you in control of your customer experience, and a sleek new inbox experience built for speed and clarity. Together, they enable teams to resolve faster, simplify daily workflows, and increase focus — all the efficiency gains of AI without sacrificing the quality of service they’re known for.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Topics: Simply connect a channel or select your preferred inboxes and Front AI will auto-categorize conversations for smarter routing and actionable insights.
  • Copilot: Speed up resolution times with suggested replies based on past conversations and help content.
  • Smart CSAT + Smart QA: Get a complete picture of your CX and agent performance - no surveys or manual scorecards required.
  • Agent (coming soon): Maintain full control of automatic resolutions by directing which customer interactions AI handles autonomously and which get escalated to humans. Sign up here to express interest in participating in the beta and we'll reach out as we have capacity.
  • Reimagined inbox:  Give your teams faster context, simplified workflows, and increased focus with a new streamlined inbox experience.

Just heard back from Front — they’re adamant about it and plan to roll out their new UI to all users, whether we like it or not. How disrespectful!

Also very unhappy with the new design. As one of our team commented it looks like a prototype whereas the previous version looked like the finished article. Almost everyone finds change challenging so we have persevered but it’s just not improving with use and is having an impact on productivity.

Really loath to look at alternatives but if they are not prepared to listen to feedback there may be no alternative.  From a company who emphasise the importance of listening to their customers this is all very disappointing.

I have used this for a couple of weeks now and my opinion is that it's a totally unnecessary update. You had a product that was easy to use with great functionality which you've meddled with to make it clunky, hard to navigate and non-intuitive. I haven't found a single update that is an improvement on the previous set-up. There is no one member of my team that has anything positive to say.

We’re experiencing bugs in the new Front, which is even more concerning than the new UI issues.

Like internal comments that aren’t visible to all the subscribed team members.

I can’t see anything that “Boosts productivity and focus”: Front has been lying to their users with these false claims.

Can anyone really give me 1 single example of something made easier/better in the new UI?
    I can’t thing of anything!

Proof is they are busy trying to reimplement what they deleted, which adds bugs and causes a lot of frustration.

This isn’t what I exepct from a premium paid app. I think I’m going to ask for a compensation and strongly look into the alternative, Missive.

The search bar top center being gone is a major issue for me. I oversee 4 different email accounts and need to be able to search in each independently many times throughout the day - quickly. Added clicks to perform frequent tasks (search, tagging, etc) is highly inefficient for users.

Had a delightful call today with a Front team member who was oh-so-curious to understand why their shiny new UI isn’t working for us.

So naturally, I kicked things off by asking for just one — just one — example of how this magical new interface has boosted productivity. Crickets. Absolute silence. He couldn’t name a single instance. Not even a pity example. Awkward.

I mean, for a UI that’s supposedly revolutionizing productivity and bring clarity, you’d think they’d have a few poster-child success stories ready to go. But nope — nada. Just (bad) vibes.

And now? We’ve got bugs on top of the productivity black hole.

    Truly living the dream 🫠

Is it just us, or do you also find team member photos ridiculously small on the left pane, in the email list and on top of the email preview?

It is just sooooo difficult to read now who is subscribed to a conversation because the photos are so tiny!

Another “productivity booster’ failure! Now we need to click to actually read the names!

Please make pics bigger, like in the chat/comments, or will Front provide their users with magnifiers 🔍?
