New custom rule trigger: comment based on custom field update

Now you can automatically add a new comment to a conversation when a custom field is updated. For example, you could add a comment when a deal size, due date, or office location changes, to give more critical context to your teammates.

Can we add a way to automatically add that custom fields data to a comment? Custom fields are a great idea but they’re hidden away and not efficient to get to. 

For example: If I have a date/time field I update it would be great for a comment to be added listing the label of the customer field and that date/time entered.

It is possible to do so by leveraging dynamic variables in our Smart rules. You can learn all about it in the Smart rules use cases article. The only twist will be replacing the “URLs” variable with your custom fields.
