Is it possible to build User to User chat with Front? Or is it only for customer support?

The functionality you are looking for seems to be covered by an existing feature called Discussions in Front. 

Internal discussions enable you to have quick chats with your teammates or with all the teammates of a shared inbox, right in Front. More on this here

Hi Justin thanks for the response! That makes sense. I was also wondering if you can have User of my app chat with other Users in the app through Front. I suppose not since Front is more aimed at customer service but just wanted to double check :-)

As far as user to user communication outside of Front (your app), no, this would not be a use case for the product. Our chat, API and platform are aimed at incoming/outgoing communications through the Front app.

@toml If you’re trying to bring in messages from your app into the Front inbox, you can do so using Channels. This will require custom development on your end.
